Sectarian unity

The government is doing its best to fight terrorists by using all available means. In times like these when we are in the middle of a war, it is good that the civilian and army leadership has developed a working relationship as is evident from the PM and army chief jointly chairing security-related meetings at the national and provincial levels. This clearly indicates that the entire government machinery is on the same page to root out terrorism at all costs.
Unfortunately, a particular sect is being targeted by militants again and again which is very tragic. The onus lies on ulema to unite the nation and show solidarity with them. Our ulema and religious scholars should play their role in bringing together various sects.
