Pakistan U19s clinch Australia series
LAHORE: Pakistan Under-19s on Sunday beat Australia Under-19s by 49 runs in the third and final Youth One-day International (ODI), clinching the series 2-0 at the Albert Cricket Ground, Melbourne.
According to reports received here, Pakistan scored 309 runs for the loss of seven wickets after winning the toss and electing to bat first. Zaid Alam scored a magnificent 128. Neil-Smith and Davies picked up two wickets each from Australia.
The Kangaroos managed only 260 in reply and lost nine wickets as well. Hackney scored a century (109). Pakistan’s Suleman Shafqat dismissed three batsmen.Zaid was declared the man of the match. It is worth mentioning here that Pakistan had won the first ODI and the second had ended without a result because of rain.
