Tevta chairperson Irfan Qaiser Shaikh Wednesday said District Board of Management can play a vital role to promote technical education and vocational training across the province.
Addressing presidents and members of District Board of Management of Lahore, Gujranwala/Hafizabad, Okara and Kasur, Irfan said Tevta is successfully introducing new short courses with the recommendations of relevant industry. According to a press release, he said in this way Tevta is providing TVET system to its youth as per requirements of the industry, saying that employment opportunities will easily be available to its students after completing the demand-driven short courses.
Irfan said that Tevta would make the role of District Board of Management more effective and will also introduce further new short courses on the recommendations of District Board of Management. District Board of Management will inspect the Institutes where short courses have been offered. Industrialists and traders will also be given representation in District Board of Management. He maintained that at present unemployment was a national problem.
