Nawaz on road to spoil others' politics: Khursheed
SUKKUR: Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah has said that political rivals can do politics, but they should not become a part of any war between institutions. Each institution should work by staying in its limits, he added.
He said that he had advised Nawaz Sharif to not do politics of this nature, but he did not listen. Now Mian Sahib will himself be on the roads and will also put our political future in danger, he further added.
Khursheed Shah made these statements while addressing a gathering here on Sunday.
Addressing the gathering, Khursheed Shah said: “I appeal the politicians to not become a part of war between institutions. The people of Pakistan will not be able to bear more shocks. It is dangerous to do ‘dharna’ politics. If international publications are writing that Pakistan is a dangerous country then it is quite saddening.”
The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader said: “Today, religion is being used for political purposes. Therefore, it is very difficult to solve the problems of people.”
He said that he had advised Nawaz Sharif to not do such politics, adding that ‘Mian Sahib did not listen; now Mian Sahib will himself be on the roads and will also put our political future in danger.”
Khursheed Shah also said that they [the PPP leaders] were trying to save democracy, while Nawaz Sharif was trying to harm democracy.
