That 30 patients of gas geysers poisoning were admitted at PIMS in Islamabad over the last three weeks shows how little we know about the safety precautions we can take when using instant gay geysers. In this case, the gas spread due to insufficient gas ventilation. Therefore, we should only install instant gas geysers where exhaust fans are installed.

Building public awareness about the risks involved in such cases is also integral. Since bathrooms are not usually spacious, we can install geysers outside bathrooms. This is considered a safe practice. People who use instant gas geysers must adopt a series of measures to ensure their safety as improper installation can cause accidents. Those who intend to install instant gas geysers must also understand the importance providing ventilation to prevent the accidental release of carbon monoxide.
