No facilities

November 21, 2017
Residents of Lyari would like to highlight the problems that need to be dealt with immediately. The inconvenience caused by intermittent electric loadshedding, the water crisis and unabated air pollution should be looked into by the relevant authorities. Electricity in the locality remains out for hours. But none of this has affected the numbers on the bill. Although residents pay electric bills ranging between Rs15,000 and Rs20,000 every month, they only enjoy electricity for eight to ten hours a day. This has made their lives so difficult.
In the same manner, the unavailability of clean water is a serious problem that must be tackled on an urgent basis. The water supplied in the area is mixed with sewage and is unfit for human consumption. The dirty water cannot even be used for other domestic purposes like washing clothes or bathing. The entire area has been turned into a dismal picture of mismanagement and negligence. Heaps of garbage in the area have not only polluted the air, but it has also make it difficult for residents to walk on streets. The concerned authorities must resolve these problems at the earliest.
