An official of FC told reporters that the school had remained closed since 2005 when militancy was on its peak in the area. He said a demand by the area people and local elders had been met and now the girl student could receive education at the school.
"Water supply system, furniture, electricity and other necessary items are being provided to the school by the security forces," the official said. Agency Education Officer Jadoon Wazir lauded the FC role in reopening the school.
He said the school was closed down in 2005 when the militants had launched attacks against the educational institutions in Fata. The official said that government had rebuilt many schools after peace was restored. He said other destroyed educational institutions would also be rebuilt in Khyber Agency.
