Saudi officials to visit Pakistan this month

LAHORE: A delegation of 27 high-ranking officials from Saudi Arabia will visit Pakistan this month.
Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf Saeed Ahmed Al-Maliki told Arab News on Saturday that a delegation representing all the Kingdom’s ministries and led by Minister of Commerce and Investment Majid Al-Qasabi will hold a meeting with their counterparts in the Pakistani government on Nov. 27 to discuss bilateral cooperation and sign agreements.
“We are concerned about Pakistan and we love the country,” Al-Maliki said.Al-Maliki, who formally assumed his duties in September, has had a busy month so far, meeting with Pakistani Minister of Transport Hafiz Abdul Kareem on Nov. 8, and visiting the Pakistan Marines’ headquarters in Islamabad on Nov. 13, where he met with Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi.
On November 17, he attended a ceremony held by Muhammad Ali Durrani, former minister of information, in Lahore in the presence of Pakistani reporters, businessmen and officials.Al-Maliki also met with Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain who remarked on the strength of the bond between the two countries.
