Rs4.709m distributed among housing scheme affected people

PESHAWAR: National Accountability Bureau Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday distributed cheques amounting to Rs4.709 million among seven affectees of a housing scheme.
Director General, NAB KP, Brig (Retd) Farooq Naser Awan distributed the cheques at a ceremony. An official communiqué said, several complaints were received at the bureau against Amjad Ali Khan and others alleging they were cheating public at large. It said the NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa authorities authorised an inquiry to ascertain the real facts.
During the course of inquiry, it was revealed that accused Amjad Ali Khan along with his other accomplices enticed and motivated general public through attractive advertisements to invest money with them in fraudulent housing scheme “Zohaib Garden” at Jail Road Mardan, for providing them plots.
It added that they also lured the general public to invest in fake company with the name of “Rifah & Zohaib Associates and Sohaib Commercial Tower” Mall Road Mardan.
