Three kids among six killed in road accident

LANDIKOTAL: Three minors and three women were killed and 18 persons sustained injuries when a speedy van plunged into a ditch near here on Tuesday.The sources said a van, bearing registration number (6160-P), was on to Torkham from Peshawar when it fell into a ravine while negotiating a sharp turn at the Zaman Sapari hill.Six people, including three women and three children, were killed on the spot while 18 others sustained injuries.
A woman, identified as Pekay Bibi, was among the dead while the names and identity of others could not be ascertained as they were missing their travel documents. Those injured were mostly Afghan nationals identified as Sher Alam, Sumaira, Feroza, Muhammad, Shahidullah, Rizwan, Tahir, Shakir(driver), Siddiq Rahman, Zohaib, Husna, Wahida, Saima, Muhmmad and Dyar Gul. Twelve injured persons were shifted to hospitals in Peshawar.
