School of Explosive Handling inaugurated in KP

NOWSHERA: The first-ever School of Explosive Handling in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was inaugurated here Monday. Chief Minister Pervez Khattak was the chief guest on the occasion. He inaugurated the school during a ceremony held at the Nowshera Police Lines.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, Minister for Excise and Taxation Mian Jamsheduddin Kakakhel, Member Provincial Assembly Idrees Khattak, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Nasir Khan Durrani, Additional IGP Mian Muhammad Asif, Deputy Inspector General of Police Mardan range, Saeed Wazir, District Police Officer Nowshera Rab Nawaz Khan and other government officials were present at the event.
In his speech, the chief minister said maintaining law and order was the priority of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI)-led provincial government and this was the reason the government was focusing on improving the capacity of the law-enforcement agencies, particularly the police.
Khattak said the government had improved the police intelligence network and investigation training school for cops had been established to improve the standard of investigation.IGP Nasir Khan Durrani said that various courses including bomb disposal course, explosives detection, blast scene investigation and explosive handling orientation training would be imparted to the cops at the school.
