Govt accusedof usingstate resources in NA-120
LAHORE :Pakistan People's Party workers have condemned alleged threatening tactics by the PML-N government against political rivals in NA-120.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of an election office in NA-120 on Wednesday, PPP-Workers president Dr Safdar Abbasi and former political secretary to Benazir Bhutto Ms Naheed Khan slammed the Punjab government for allegedly using state resources in the election campaign.
Dr Safdar Abbasi on the occasion said former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was elected from this constituency multiple times but he did not change the condition of the area, which lacked proper sewage system and facility of clean drinking water. He said state machinery was constantly being used by the PML-N government and the Election Commission of Pakistan should take notice of it. He added buying loyalties and purchasing votes was highly undemocratic act and caused huge damage to democracy.
