MANSEHRA: The Hazara University Academic Staff Association has criticised the vice-chancellor after accusing him of vengeance against the faculty members, who had pinpointed discrepancies in the university and had sought help from governor and Higher Education Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
“We will never allow the vice-chancellor and his blue-eyed persons to launch inquiries against the faculty members on anonymous letters to settle personal scores as pointing discrepancies at university is our right,” Ijaz Shah, president of the association, told office-bearers of the association in a meeting here on Monday.
The participants of the meeting, which was summoned to evolve a future line of action after the alleged victimisation of faculty staff by administration, were unanimous to fight back alleged conspiracies.
The association president said that Hazara University academic staff association had sought intervention of governor, chief minister and high-ups of Higher Education Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to take notice of the alleged illegal practices in appointment of pro-vice-chancellor and induction of professionals on deputation, which irked vice-chancellor and his favourites, who allegedly started victimisation of faculty members on anonymous letters.
Ijaz Shah showed a letter written to the vice-chancellor by an anonymous person in which baseless allegations were levelled against faculty members.
