Four militants killed in Mastung

MASTUNG: Security forces killed four militants during an intelligence-based operation in the Kanak area of Mastung district in Balochistan.

According to security sources, the forces were conducting a search operation in the area when the militants opened fire on them. In retaliatory fire, the  militants were killed. Anti-state elements have recently stepped up their attacks on the security forces in Balochistan. As a result, the security forces have stepped up their search operations to nab the culprits.

On the other hand, the Counter-Terrorism Department in Khairpur arrested 12 suspects and also recovered arms on Friday. The CTD spokesman said on a tip-off operation was conducted near Khairpur Narejo during which 12 suspects were arrested besides recovery of arms from their possession.
