Five seminary students poisoned by friends
SIALKOT: Five students of a seminary were allegedly poisoned by their two friends for hiding their crime near the Alam Chowk in Hajipura police limits on Sunday. Husnain and Ehteshamul Haq had allegedly stolen Rs80,000 from the bag of Shahzad, a guest from Faisalabad. Later, the two accused tried to give Rs 0,000 to another student Shehroze, who was aware of their crime, for remaining silent but he refused. The accused students mixed some poisonous pills in the food prepared for the seminary students to get away with their crime. After taking the poisonous food, the condition of five students -- Abdul Mateen, Abdul Rehman, M Mushtaq, Asjad Ali and Rizwan – deteriorated. They were shifted to a local hospital where their condition is stated to be stable. The police have arrested accused Husnain and Ehtesham and registered a case against them.
