Ronaldinho ‘extremely happy’ to be in Pakistan
KARACHI: Ronaldinho, one of the greatest midfielders football giants Brazil have ever produced, on Saturday said that he was very happy to be in Pakistan.
“I am extremely happy to be here. Everyone with me is very happy,” the tired-looking Ronaldinho said.
Ronaldinho, who has played 97 matches for Brazil from 1999 to 2013, said he came to the country after developing friendship with Trunkwala family who invited him to Pakistan.
It is pertinent to mention here that World Group, whose chairman is Mehmood Trunkwala, is managing the whole adventure of the foreign stars.
He said that he would also demonstrate Samba dance during the match when he would score a goal. “Yes, no problem,” when he was asked whether he would dance after scoring a goal.
Earlier, before leaving for Islamabad, Ronaldinho told reporters in Dubai that he was very happy to know that the people of Lyari admired him so much.
He said he was delighted that Brazil had already qualified for the World Cup. “I am very excited that Brazil have made it to the World Cup.
The team can win the event and bring back happiness to my country,” he said. The 37-year old looked very exhausted because of his tough travelling schedule.
He played the bulk of his career at the European clubs Paris Saint Germain, Barcelona and Milan and also represented Brazilian national team.
