The rupee held its overnight levels against the dollar on Friday on lower foreign currency demands from importers. The rupee closed at 104.87 against the dollar, unchanged from Thursday's closing in the interbank market. Forex dealers said the rupee / dollar parity traded flat at 104.87/89. "No significant movement witnessed today. However, the current account numbers are quite alarming, which may pose pressure on the exchange rate," a dealer added.
