Property, professional survey launched in Sukkur
SUKKUR: The Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department launched the property and professional survey under the geographic information system here on Thursday.
Sindh Secretary Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Abdul Haleem Shaikh said that the parameters of development were based on appropriated data, adding that advanced countries work on the basis of such parameters to achieve prosperity.
He said that under the geographic information system, we would accumulate the data of Sukkur and indicators of its growth, which would help the Sindh government in devising policies for the development of cities.
He said that the aim of property survey was to ascertain the number of registered properties, adding that it wasn’t aiming to impose new taxes. The seminar was also attended by traders and businessmen of Sukkur.
