SHOs among 21 cops punished on different charges

DIG Operations Dr Haider Ashraf awarded punishments to 21 police officers including seven serving SHOs and seven former SHOs during an orderly room on Monday. 

He suspended factory Area SHO Mumtaz Ali for delaying registration of FIRs, censured and fined SHO Iqbal Town Muhammad Sarwar on same charges, forfeited service for one year of SHO Hayer Muhammad Afzal for minimising intensity of crime, censured SHO Baghbanpura Hussain Farooq for delay in registration of FIRs, censured SHO Ichra Bilal Hanif for not registering FIR on a complaint, fined SHO Shahdara Town for delay in registration of FIR, stopped increment of SHO Green Town Waseem Akhtar for failure to maintain law and order, demoted former SHO Wahdat Colony Waqas-ul-Hassan on proving of allegations of corruption, censured former SHO Shalimar Iftikhar Ahmad and stopped increment for three months, censured former SHO Mustafa Town Ishtiaq Ahmad for not submitting recovery items to court, censured former SHO Liaqatabad Raza Zakir for incompetence, censured former SHO Johar Town Usman Ahmad and former SHO Shalimar Muhammad Amin for delay in registration of FIR, censured former SHO Johar Town Muhammad Ramzan for minimizing nature of crime.

He awarded punishments to SI Muhammad Nafees of Garden Town, constable Muhammad Hussain of Johar Town, head constable Safdar and Constable Mehmood of Chowki Begum Kot and others.

Three bodies found: Three bodies were found in different areas on Monday. 

A 60-year-old man was recovered dead from the room of a hotel in the Naulakha police limits. Police removed the body to morgue for autopsy and started investigations.

The victim has been identified as Babar of Faisalabad. He rented a cot in the hotel and slept there. He was found dead in the morning. Police after being informed reached the scene, collected evidence and started investigations. Meanwhile, two people were recovered dead from Hunjarwal and Lorri Adda. Police said one died due to heart attack while the other due to excessive use of drugs and hot weather. 

BURNT: A labourer received minor burns when a fire erupted at the camp of Orange Line Train labourers. Rescue 1122 reached the scene and controlled the fire.
