PTI alleges ‘misuse’ of foreign missions by govt
PanamaLeaks
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has sought details under the Freedom of Information Ordinance 2002 of alleged misuse of Pakistan foreign missions to defend the Sharif family in PanamaLeaks case.
In a letter to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, PTI senior leader Andleeb Abbas has said that the Foreign Office missions and embassies serve national interests within Pakistan and overseas. She alleged that the prime minister conducted serious breach of public trust by abusing these offices for protecting the Sharif family.
“The letter to the embassies and missions, instructing them to protect the Prime Minister instead of Pakistan reinforces the PanamaLeaks judgement of the Prime Minister being sincere and honest to the people of Pakistan,” she claimed.
