President Mamnoon Hussain Friday said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will go a long way in the prosperity and development of the region.
Addressing an international conference organised by South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) in collaboration with Jang Group in Islamabad, the president said that CPEC will become hub of the international trade, economic and industrial activities in the world. He said that today's Pakistan is more secure and peaceful as compared to the past and provides conducive environment for trade and economic activities. He said the people of the country have sacrificed a lot for bringing peace back in the country.
He said that the government has devised liberal and business friendly laws for doing business in the country that have made Pakistan an attractive country for business activities. He said that the conference will play a vital role for the development and progress of the region. He said the effort will help bring countries of the region closer through business activities. He opined that South Asia has a lot of potential so our people should work together for our own prosperity. He appreciated for organising the conference and hoped that such conferences will help in designing better policies to promote business. He further hoped that this conference will help in the growth of South Asia to make better policies.
