Kinnaird College’s 80th convocation
LAHORE
The 80th convocation of Kinnaird College for Women was held here on Thursday and 462 undergraduate and 158 MPhil students were awarded degrees.
Punjab Minister for Higher Education Syed Raza Ali Gillani was the chief guest and Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) Chairman Dr Mohammad Nizamuddin was the guest of honour on the occasion. KC Board of Governors chairman, faculty members, students and their parents also attended the ceremony.
Raza Gillani said universities were engines of progress which played important role in developing girl students as vibrant youth leaders. “We are living in an ever -challenging world so Pakistani students should have command of their subjects, including science and technology, for getting maximum benefit from the digital revolution."
The minister informed the participants that out of 178,000 beneficiaries of provincial endowment fund, 120,000 were girls which showed keen interest of girls in studies.
