The chairmen of three union councils have demanded of the authorities concerned to ensure supply of water to their areas where the residents have no option except to rely on the water tankers that charge handsome money for limited amount of water.
Union Council (UC-28) Chairperson Fouzia Arshad said there is no tubewell in the area for last nine years and supply of water in different sectors has been suspended for unknown reasons.
She said no funds have been provided to the union councils that is why they are not able to launch any water supply scheme for the residents of this locality.
