Man guns down niece for ‘honour’

LAHORE

A 25-year-old girl was gunned down by her uncle over ‘honour’ in the Manga Mandi police area on Thursday.

The victim was identified as Saba of Qila Sama. Accused Wazeer Ali had suspected his niece's character. On the day of the incident, he entered into her house and shot her to death.

He escaped from the scene. Police have shifted the body to morgue and registered a murder cases against the accused.

Body: A body of a man was fished out from BRB Canal on Thursday. The man was identified as Ahmad Hassan. It was reported that he had gone missing in the Subzazar area three days back. Some passersby spotted his body floating in the BRB Canal and informed police. The body has been shifted to morgue.
