Kh Saad, Marriyum tell PTI leaders to be responsible

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Member of National Assembly (MNA) Javed Latif has offered an ‘apology’ on Friday over his ‘lewd remarks’ against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA Murad Saeed’s sisters.

The MNA talked to the media outside the parliament on Friday and accepted that he should not have passed such remarks, though he refused to say whether his remarks were ‘right or wrong’. Latif’s statement has come a day after a scuffle broke out between the two after a session of the National Assembly was adjourned.

Videos televised later revealed that PML-N’s MNA had passed alleged lewd remarks that prompted Saeed to attempt to land a punch on his face. National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq said that their heads hang in shame over the incident yesterday. Sadiq had ordered an inquiry into the issue after the clash was reported.

Javed Latif lambasted PTI Chairman Imran Khan for allegedly justifying Murad Saeed’s actions. During a media interaction hours after the scuffle; PML-N’s MNA passed distasteful remarks about Saeed’s two younger sisters.

Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb while terming the brawl between Javaid Latif and Murad Saeed as regrettable and inappropriate has said that such incidents are not acceptable at any cost as such incidents bring negative impact on the society.

She said that such incidents should never occur. Minister said Javaid Latif admitted his remarks were inappropriate but despite that reaction shown by Murad Saeed is also not appropriate. She said there should be distinction between the elder and the younger.

She further said PTI Chairman Imran khan, instead of resolving the issues, should not use provocative language. Marriyum Aurangzeb was expressing these views in an interview with a private TV channel.

She said that Imran Khan should play a responsible role and such incidents can be controlled in future if everyone will show his responsibility.   Minister for Railways, Khawaja SaadRafiq said PTI Chief Imran Khan had spoiled the decorum of the Parliament through his derogative language and aggressive attitudes.

Talking to media at the Parliament House Lobby, he said Imran Khan did not respect anyone including institutions such as media, courts, Parliament and so on. He said the PTI's members were following the footsteps of Imran Khan and behaving inhumanely with other colleagues in the Parliament.

PTI MNA Murad Saeed attacked on PML-N MNA Javed Latif, in reaction, he used some harsh words, he said. He said Imran Khan was a troublesome and due to his sit-in politics China Pakistan Economic Corridor had been delayed almost a year.

Saad Rafiq said Imran Khan gave a negative message to the world by boycotting the joint session on the arrival of Turkish president and later on Kashmir issue. He said he had always leveled baseless allegations on Sharif family and used slang language. He said recently Imran Khan had also tried to divide the nation on Pakistan Super League (PSL) final match held in Lahore adding, entire nation was united including Pakistan Army and political parties to make the event successful. He said the PSL was a hope of reviving cricket and other sports in the country and it would portray a soft image of Pakistan in the world.
