Select students watch final
On the directions of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, a large group of students from different parts of the country, including Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA and Gilgit-Baltistan, reached Punjab University and then left for Qaddafi Stadium to watch Pakistan Super League (PSL) final on Sunday.
A ceremony was held at PU Gymnasium, New Campus, in which the students of other areas studying in PU, Agricultural University Faisalabad, Bahauddin Zakriya University (BZU) Multan, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Government College University Faisalabad and University of Gujrat participated. Punjab Minister for Higher Education Syed Raza Ali Gillani addressed the students and said, "We would defeat terrorists with unity." He said that on the directions of the chief minister, the students were selected. Dr Zafar Mueen Nasir said, "We must prove with our attitude that we are the best nation and international matches could be played in the country." The students were wearing traditional dresses belonging to their areas. Later, the students departed for Qaddafi Stadium in buses. —Correspondent
