PM approves promotion of 413 baboos
Defers promotion of 62 officers from grade 19 to 20 and grade 20 to 21
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Saturday approved promotion of 109 officers from grade 20 to grade 21 and 304 officers from grade 19 to grade 20 while accepting the recommendations of Central Superior Board held two months ago.
The government sources told The News that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif received the recommendations of the Board but he asked for further scrutiny of the record of the officers so that judgment of error should be ruled out.
The prime minister has deferred the recommendations of promotion of 31 officers from grade 20 to 21 and 61 officers from grade 19 to 20.
The notification pertaining to the promotion of the officers has been issued by the federal government. It is likely that the promoted officers would get new assignments shortly.
