VIP movements

A movement of a political entity in Pakistan triggers an area-wide lockdown. This is not the story of Karachi, but the entire country is subjected to the problem of road blocks whenever an important personality is travelling in a city. The roads are blocked to avoid any potential attack. Everyone – from a person behind the wheels to a pedestrian – ought to wait for hours to let the VIP movement pass smoothly.

If not for the public in the surrounding areas, these VIPs should reject this practice for at least their own sake. These politicians try to avoid the very people that gave them the place they are in now. They need to respect them and keep the VIP protocol as limited as possible.
