The housewives have endorsed the viewpoint of the female lawmaker of the ruling party stating rising gas loadshedding is not allowing them to even prepare breakfast and food for their family members thus causing tension in their domestic life.
"When our kids and other family members will not get breakfast before going to school or offices then obviously they will get irritated. My husband never raises objections but definitely he does not feel good when he goes to office without taking breakfast," said Tehmina Zafar, a resident of Satellite Town.
She said though housewives have no role in gas loadshedding but they become victim of the situation when all the family members ask them for breakfast and they find themselves unable to do so.
It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) MNA Tahira Aurangzeb told the National Assembly that gas loadshedding is one of the leading causes behind the rising number of divorces in Pakistan.
Tahira Aurangzeb, the mother of Minister of State for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb, said quarrels between couples have become routine because wives are unable to prepare food on time for the household due to gas loadshedding.
Rukhsana Tayyab, a housewife in Khayaban-e-Sir Syed, said provision of gas especially in the winter season is basic responsibility of the government and now the time has come when its unavailability has started creating problems within the family circles.
