‘Pakistan, Turkey relations beyond borders’

The brotherly relations between Pakistan and Turkey are beyond borders, said Ch. Abdul Ghafoor Khan, Managing Director, Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC). He stated this during a meeting with Yunus Mert, General Manager of Turkish Airlines in Pakistan here in Islamabad on Wednesday.

He said that present government under dynamic leadership of Mian Nawaz Sharif is committed to portray Pakistan as a tourist friendly destination and the country needs aggressive promotion and publicity with significant development in tourism sector. Ch. Ghafoor Khan said that Pakistan with its natural untouched environment is truly a tourist paradise that has an immense potential to be discovered. “The improved law and order situation in the country has resulted in increase in tourist flow during the last two years. We are always ready to welcome tourists and investors from brotherly Muslim nation of Turkey,” he added.

PTDC MD invited the Turkish Airlines GM to visit Gilgit-Baltistan and other northern parts of Pakistan and witness himself the beauty of majestic Northern Pakistan. He informed that the ongoing project of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will change the future of the region and along this corridor there are uncountable opportunities for potential investors to invest in the area and reap benefits from this one of the world’s largest economic activity.

Turkish Airlines MD said that our main focus is on religious, Sports, adventure and medical tourism and Prime Minister has directed to submit monthly progress report. He added that Pakistan will be added in tour packages of Turkish Airlines. We should exchange our experiences to learn from each other. He told that he published his visiting cards in Urdu as Turkish people like to learn Urdu.
