Four injured in Orakzai IED blast
KALAYA: Four persons sustained injuries in an improvised explosive device (IED) explosion in Khadizai village of Upper Orakzai tehsil on Thursday, local and official sources said.
The sources said that the family of Malik Malang Badshah had just returned
home from displacement when an IED planted in the lawn of the house went off as a family member identified as Muhammad Shoaib stepped on it.
As a result of the explosion, four persons sustained shrapnel wounds. However, there were no reports of any fatal casualty in the incident.The injured were identified as Muhammad Shoaib, Haider, Ihsan and Mujeeb.Following the explosion, security forces cordoned off the area and started a search operation.The injured were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital in Hangu.
