KP Governor apprised of PRCS activities in Fata
PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtun-khwa Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra received a delegation of Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS), Fata chapter, here Thursday and was briefed by the chapter’s chairman about its activities in the tribal areas.
An official handout said besides the PRCS Fata chapter chairman Ikramullah Jan Kukikhel, the delegation included Member of the National Assembly Ghalib Khan Wazir and some tribal elders.
The Governor said the PRC could play an important role in the government’s efforts to minimise the suffering of the tribal people, particularly in the rehabilitation of the Temporarily Displaced Persons (TDPs).
He said the role of PRCS in Fata cannot be ignored as the government was endeavouring to provide education and healthcare facilities in the tribal areas, promote economic growth, and bring happiness to the long-suffering tribal people.
