Pak schools management meets Abidi, Malik
Discuss strategy to improve teaching quality and further expansion

Renowned educationist Syed Abidi visited Bahrain on the invitation of Javed Malik, ambassador of Pakistan to Bahrain.
Syed Abidi conducted and delivered talks and presentations at Pakistan School and Pakistan Urdu School on Career Counselling and emerging subject areas. He also had a detail meeting with the management and advised them on how to further improve quality of teaching and improve school efficiency.
The presentations by Syed Abidi highlighted the need for timely career counselling and identified the emerging subject areas and professions that students could opt in comparison with the traditional career paths such as: doctor, engineer and lawyer.
The presentations also provided comprehensive information on scholarship opportunities and how to apply for them. The management and teachers of the schools expressed their thanks to the ambassador for facilitating the events and said their students and teachers gained useful information on career opportunities which would help them make decision for their future career.
Ambassador of Pakistan to Bahrain Javed Malik later invited the school board and the principal to a meeting at the embassy where a meeting was held to discuss the plan to improve the school both academically as well as in terms of building and structure.
The ambassador pointed out to the board that he was willing to support the management in enhancing the school facilities and was glad to recommend Syed Abidi to help improve teaching quality and efficiency for the benefit of Pakistani students and residents. He was of the opinion that a lot could be done to expand the current teaching facilities at the schools and asked the board members to consider availing this ideal opportunity from the visit of Syed Abidi and to take his expert advice on further improvement in different areas through a well-designed School Improvement Plan. He emphasised the need for expanding the current facilities and incorporating the British CIE System from the next year, if possible.
The board led by Muhammad Sajid and Sami ur Rehman agreed that improvement in the schools was inevitable and advised the principal to coordinate with Syed Abidi and work together in agreeing to a comprehensive strategy in moving forward.
The ambassador pointed out that it was his wish and goal to improve education facilities for overseas Pakistanis to meet the challenges of the rapidly changing world and the advancements in education not only in Bahrain but in the entire GCC. He said he would use all his efforts and office in helping schools.
Syed Abidi thanked Javed Malik and lauded his support to the Pakistani community. He said Javed Malik had become an icon of patriotism especially for the Pakistani community in the Middle East. He assured the ambassador of his continued support and said he would visit again to repeat the events in near future.
