Pakistan concede 10 goals in four matches

KARACHI: Once again Pakistan’s weak defence and poor goalkeeping was exposed when they conceded three goals against Japan, a team that does not have a high standing.

Pakistan won the match 4-3 but the performance of the defenders was far from satisfactory.

The Green-shirts have conceded 10 goals in four matches, which clearly shows that the defenders and the goalkeeper are not performing well.

While European teams and Indians know Pakistan’s tactics and strategies as they have played against them for a long time, Japan’s is a much less experienced side.

Pakistan team management has failed to raise the standard of the defenders.

Pakistan lost two matches after taking lead.

The mistakes are being repeated but the staff with the team has not found any solution.

A strong defence line and a strong goalkeeper are the need of the hour for both senior and junior strings of Pakistan. And there is very little time to resolve the issue.

It seems the rival teams have spotted Pakistan’s weakness and are exploiting it. They always find gaps among the Pakistani defenders.

The poor show of the defenders eventually demoralises the entire team and the Green-shirts even fail to draw the match.

PHF should find the solution of this problem as soon as possible at any cost because the same problem would haunt the Green-shirts in Junior World Cup later this year and in the qualifying rounds of World Cup and Olympics.
