Q Trophy matches shifted from twin cities

KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday shifted a few matches of the fifth and sixth rounds of Quaid-e-Azam Trophy from Rawalpindi and Islamabad to other areas.

“Due to unavoidable circumstances the venues have been changed,” PCB said in a press release.

The decision has been taken due to Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) planned sit–in in the capital from November 2.

The game between Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) and Habib Bank Limited (HBL), which will be held from October 28-31, has been shifted from Diamond Club Ground, Islamabad, to Arbab Niaz Stadium, Peshawar.

Amir Khan will now serve as scorer in place of Adnan Farooq.

The October 29-November 1 outing between Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) and Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) has been moved from KRL Stadium, Rawalpindi, to Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad.

Noor Muhammad will be the scorer in place of Shakeel Ahmed.

The October 29-November 1 clash between National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) and Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has been shifted from Pindi Stadium, Rawalpindi, to Multan Cricket Stadium, Multan.

Muhammad Akbar will be the scorer in place of Muhammad Zeeshan.

The November 5-8 match between SNGPL and NBP has been moved from Marghzar Cricket Ground, Islamabad, to Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad. Ali Hasan will be the scorer in place of Adnan Farooq. The November 5-8 encounter between KRL and PIA will now be held at Abbottabad Stadium in place of National Ground, Islamabad.  Aamer Sharif will be the scorer in place of Fazal-e-Azeem.
