ISLAMABAD: The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, has alleged that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan was receiving money from Jews.
Talking to media persons after a meeting with the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Sirajul Haq here on Saturday, Fazlur Rehman said he knew about the Jewish funding long ago but now Imran Khan’s own party workers and officials are saying the same.
Sirajul Haq said the federal government should not make the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) controversial, adding that the prime minister should have consulted the opposition before leaving for the United States.
The JI chief said the government should work according to the declaration of the All PartiesConference (APC). He said there are doubts about the route of the CPEC and the government should clear them.
“The government must not step back from the economic corridor because the country’s future depends on it,” he said.He said that prime minister did not consult the opposition before his visit to the US as they would have asked him to raise Afia Siddiqui’s issue with the US president.
