JI chief asks world to take notice of India’s war threats
LAHORE
Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq said India was creating war atmosphere to divert the world attention from massacre of Kashmiri Muslims by it.
He warned that in case of attack, India would face a Pakistan thousand times stronger than in 1965.
Addressing JI Youth festival held under the aegis of JI Women Wing at Aiwan e Iqbal on Saturday, he stressed upon the world community to take notice of India’s war plans and threats to Pakistan in order to save the region from the horrors of war. Sirajul Haq warned that India- Pakistan war now would not be confined to the two countries but its flames would spread in all directions.
Therefore, he said, the world should take practical steps to restrain India and prevent a war. At the same time, he said, India should come out of war hysteria and hold meaningful talks on the Kashmir issue. Sirajul Haq said that Hindu fanatics were treating the minorities of Muslims, Sikhs and Christians in a manner worse than the way animals were treated. He said India had worst type of poverty and millions of its citizens were forced to go to sleep with empty stomach, yet Indian Premier Modi was spitting venom against Pakistan to conceal his failures.
He also exhorted the women emulate the golden example of Syeda Fatima (RA) and Syeda Aishah (RA) and make their contribution to the struggle for an Islamic revolution.
The JI chief said that in 1965, even the Pakistani women had come out of their homes with batons and canes in their hands to deal with the enemy and added that no enemy could defeat a nation whose women and children were imbued with such a spirit of jihad and love for martyrdom.
Sirajul Haq said that, while the enemy was preparing for war, the rulers in Islamabad were busy in amassing wealth. He said a system based on injustice and exploitation was going on in the country, the masses were deprived of basics needs of life but the ruling elite was enjoying the luxuries of life. He said that education and health were not among the priorities of the government and the rulers had not built a single big hospital in the country during their rule.
Sirajul Haq told the gathering that the JI would ensure implementation of the constitutional provisions related to the women rights. He said the rights of the minority women must also be protected. The festival was attended by a large number of girl students from schools, colleges and universities.
