ISLAMABAD: The Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali, on Wednesday stressed joint efforts of the bench and the bar for ensuring speedy justice to litigants.
Talking to a 12-member delegation of the Karachi Bar Association comprising its President Naeem Qureshi and its executive members, Justice Jamali said the bench and the bar were integral parts of the same system and they should work hard for the betterment of the administration of justice, said a press release.
He underlined the need to bring improvements to the system of justice so that speedy justice could be provided to the litigants which could only be possible with the cooperation of the bar.
He urged the bar to play its role in discouraging undue adjournments of cases.
The members of the bar thanked the Chief Justice for sparing time for them and congratulated him on his elevation as the Chief Justice of Pakistan.
They assured the chief justice of their full support and cooperation for administration of justice.
