‘Power projects to be completed soon’
LAHORE: Wapda Chairman Lt-Gen Muzammil Hussain (retd) said his first priority would be completion of under construction hydropower projects in the shortest possible time.
Chairing meetings Thursday at the Wapda House, the newly-appointed chairman said he had accepted a challenging assignment of Wapda chairman and would make all out efforts to make a difference. The chairman thanked the prime minister for reposing trust for the job of national importance.
He said he was determined to perform his duties with a sense of fulfilling assignments of national significance. It is a huge trust on me and my team to match up with expectations of the prime minister and fulfil the government’s agenda of completing hydel projects on time. Dilating upon his priorities, he said the construction work on ready to construct water and hydropower projects would also be initiated on fast track basis by removing bottlenecks in the way for their implementation.
