Changing weather provides relief to people

Rawalpindi: The changing weather conditions have provided a much-needed relief to the people who have been braving scorching heat in the face of power loadshedding for last few months.

"We were not able to sleep comfortably in the night due to power loadshedding during the heatwave. Now the situation is comparatively much better even during the daytime because one can carry out routine work quite easily," said Aqeel Sarwar, a resident of B-Block (Satellite Town).

He said most of the people generally use fans during the summer months so the pleasant weather is not less than a blessing for them, adding "We hope the government would reduce power loadshedding in the coming year."

The change in weather has also adversely affected the business of juice sellers who are now looking for other work to earn their livelihood.

Saqib Rasheed, who has a juice stall in Saddar Market during the summer season, said he would work at a shop for next couple of months before starting selling soup at the advent of the winter season.
