ISLAMABAD: Information and Broadcasting Minister Senator Pervaiz Rashid on Sunday vowed that terrorists and their facilitators would be chased till the last one was eliminated and their mindset was crushed.
“The vacuum left by the martyrdom of Home Minister Shuja Khanzada can only be filled by the elimination of forces inimical to the ideology of Pakistan,” he said in his reaction to the terrorist act in the native village of the slain minister.
Pervaiz Rashid said the elements, who used violence against innocent citizens on the pretext of sectarianism or skewed interpretation of Islam to subdue them, would never be tolerated.
“We pledge to redouble our efforts to secure the life and property of every Pakistani and defeat the nefarious designs of elements who are trying to create discord and disrupt the harmony in the society,” he said.
He expressed deep grief over the demise of the Punjab home minister and said his death was a national tragedy and he would long be remembered for his valour and courage.
The minister maintained that Khanzada’s sacrifice in the war against terrorism would not go waste and the operation would continue till the elimination of the last terrorist from the soil of Pakistan.
He conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family of the slain minister and prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace. He also prayed for early recovery of the other injured and condoled the deaths of those who also
fell prey to the terror incident in village Shadi Khan, Attock
District.
