CAA declassified
As widely reported in the print and electronic media, the CAA’s classified documents have been disposed off as trash – in grave violation of ICAO SOP on the security and safety of classified documents. All obsolete and old documents are to be destroyed by burning in the presence of an officer.
By now the director administration, the custodian of classified documents should have been suspended, followed by a proper inquiry, because classified documents cannot be used as wrappers for pakoras and samosas. It is now almost three years that a mechanical engineer is heading the administration department and has virtually shaken the foundation of the CAA. If notice is not taken of this serious irregularity the CAA might face downgrading in international standing.
