PESHAWAR: A former director of the National Savings Pakistan, Masood Ahmad Khan, passed away here on Sunday in Toronto (Canada) after a protracted illness. He was 78.
Funeral prayers for the deceased were offered at Toronto. He was laid to rest there in the presence of the family members and well-wishers. The deceased is survived by a widow, three sons — Ahsan Masood (based in the United Sates), Mohsin Masood, Saad Masood (Canada) — and a daughter, Col Dr. Saima Masood, to mourn his death.
The deceased was brother of late Saeed Ahmad Jan, a former mayor of Peshawar, Bashir Ahmad Khan, who has served as joint secretary of Commerce (Islamabad), late Muhammad Jamil Khan, Muhammad Ismail Khan (Pakistan Railways Booking Agency in Peshawar), father-in-law of Col Dr Qayyum and uncle of Adeel Saeed, a senior reporter with the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP).
Qul will be offered here in Peshawar today (Monday) at 6:00 pm at House No. 26, Street 2, Sector K-I, Phase III in Hayatabad Township.
