PTI rebels’ meeting in Peshawar today
ISLAMABAD: A group of disgruntled lawmakers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is going to meet in Peshawar today (Friday) to review the situation arising out of recent key party nominations made at the top level and some other issues.
The group, which includes five MNAs from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and eight members of the Khyber Pakutunkhwa Assembly, had a late night meeting with some senior founding members of PTI here.
“We shall meet in Peshawar to take stock of the party matters and the possible options before us, as party is currently being ruined: there is no concept of consultation; no organisational set-up and so many other issues,” a PTI MNA, who did not wish to be identified. He claimed two party workers conventions were being planned: one in Islamabad and another in Charsadda.
