Pakistan finish 13th in Asian Junior Volleyball
KARACHI: Pakistan finished 13th after defeating Saudi Arabia 3-1 in their last outing of the 18th Asian Junior Volleyball Championship in Chinese Taipei on Saturday.
In the 13th-place game, Pakistan played well to beat Saudia Arabia after their rivals from the Gulf showed resistance in the last three sets. The set score remained 25-13, 25-19, 22-25, 28-26 in favour of Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, in the 15th-place outing, Bahrain snatched a 3-2 win from Hong Kong. In the ninth-place clash, Australia overpowered Qatar 3-1 while Iraq beat Chinese Taipei 3-1 in the 11th-place battle.
Iran and China qualified for the final after overcoming their rivals Japan and South Korea, respectively. The final and third-place outing will be held on Sunday (today).
