British HC praises PIA
LAHORE: British High Commissioner Jane Marriott has admired the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) after traveling from Karachi to Islamabad with the national carrier.
In a video shared on social media, she praised her experience aboard the PIA and announced her upcoming direct flight from Pakistan to Manchester via PIA, stating: “Very soon, I will be flying directly to Manchester with PIA.”
A personal passion for aviation took the British diplomat to the cockpit, where she received a briefing from the PIA captain. In a symbolic gesture, the PIA CEO presented Jane Marriott with a captain’s cap, declaring her an honorary pilot of the airline. The high commissioner extended her best wishes and support for the airline’s continued progress.
