LAHORE:The Lahore Electric Supply Company’s Disco Support Unit has successfully recovered over Rs5 billion from electricity defaulters across various circles.
The special teams, under the directions of Lesco Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Engineer M Ramzan Butt, recovered around Rs700 million from 19,567 defaulters in Northern Circle. Besides, as many as Rs980 million were recovered from 19,249 defaulters in Eastern Circle while Rs860 million recovered from 22,002 defaulters in Central Circle.
Moreover, in South Circle, Rs370 million have been recovered from 11,811 defaulters, in Nankana Circle, Rs360 million recovered from 15,168 defaulters, in Sheikhupura Circle, Rs700 million recovered from 19,802 defaulters, in Okara Circle, Rs320 million recovered from 24,243 defaulters and in Kasur Circle, Rs740 million recovered from 28,435 defaulters.
The recovery operations are part of Lesco’s efforts to ensure financial discipline and accountability, reflecting the company’s commitment to improving its financial performance, according to an official. The Disco Support Unit comprises Lesco, Rangers, and other law enforcement agencies, working together to intensify the recovery process.
