UET approves financial support for employees
LAHORE:A meeting of UET Board of Management of the Benevolent Fund has approved financial support for A-Class employees and faculty members at various levels.
The meeting chaired by UET Vice Chancellor Dr Shahid Munir decided that financial support of Rs10,000 per month will be provided to 23 intermediate-level children of employees, while 23 undergraduate or postgraduate children will receive Rs15,000 per month. Furthermore, 95 school-level children will be granted Rs6,500 per month. In addition, Rs150,000 was approved as marriage assistance for the daughter of one employee, and Rs20,000 was granted to another employee for funeral expenses. A total of Rs1,113,066 was sanctioned for medical assistance to nine employees. The board also approved an annual grant of Rs15,000 for a period of five years for the widow of a deceased university employee.
Moreover, children of an employee who passed away during service will receive a monthly scholarship of Rs6,500. Speaking on the occasion.
