LAHORE : LDA DG Tahir Farooq visited different areas of the provincial capital including Ferozepur Road, Attari Road, Nishtar Colony, Ravi Bridge, Model Town Extension, Nishtar Colony, Suleman Block here on Saturday.

LDA DG reviewed the road works after Wasa laid sewerage on Ferozepur Road. Chief Engineer LDA Israr Saeed and Project Director gave a briefing. LDA DG directed to install tuff tiles and pavers in the streets in Nishtar Colony Suleman Block. Tahir Farooq said that Nishtar Colony Suleman Block should be built under a sustainable model. LDA DG reviewed the quality of work and directed that the work should be completed soon for the convenience of citizens. Better quality of work should be ensured during construction work.

Later, LDA DG Tahir Farooq visited Ravi Bridge where the Project Director gave a briefing. The construction and renovation of a four-lane bridge to enter Lahore on Ravi Bridge has been completed. Finishing work was underway on the approach road of Ravi Bridge, the road has become wider due to the elimination of encroachments. Solar lights have been installed on Ravi Bridge, walkways have been built. Tahir Farooq directed to install a beautiful gantry at the entry point of Ravi Bridge. LDA DG Tahir Farooq also visited Nabha Road and Circular Road and reviewed the ongoing work by Tepa. Chief Engineer Tepa Iqrar Hussain during his briefing said that Tepa was working on the restoration of road cuts at five points in the provincial capital. After sewerage by Wasa, work was being done on the restoration of road cuts at these points. Tepa teams are working on Nabha Road, Circular Road, Bund Road, Wahdat Road and Karim Park. Restoration work was underway on 400 meters on Nabha Road while 1,290 meters on Circular Road. Work was also progressing rapidly on Bund Road, Karim Park and Wahdat Road.
