‘Historic steps taken to improve health sector’
LAHORE:Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique has said Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz is taking historic and revolutionary steps in health sector and increasing capacity of government hospitals.
The minister paid a visit to Fatima Jinnah Institute of Dental Sciences Jubilee Town. Dean and faculty met Salman Rafique. Dean Dr Ilyas informed him about medical facilities provided to patients coming for treatment of dental diseases. The minister visited different wards and met the patients. Other arrangements including the stock of medicines in the storeroom were reviewed. He said that steps are being taken to improve HR and other issues at Fatima Jinnah Institute of Dental Sciences. ‘Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz is taking historic and revolutionary steps in the health sector. The capacity of government hospitals is being increased for the convenience of patients. By building new government hospitals in Punjab, efforts are being made to provide better health facilities to the people at their doorstep. Providing modern treatment facilities to patients at Fatima Jinnah Institute of Dental Sciences is the top priority, the minister said. The minister expressed his anger at the contractors for delay in the work, while directing them to complete the work on time. The minister directed the administration to complete the operation theatre soon. He said that the generator will be activated soon for the convenience of patients.
